Motics stands for Mobile Ticketing Crypto Service and reliably protects mobile tickets against copying and tampering. The Motics specifications have been part of the VDV core application since May 2018 and have been available free of charge to all participants in (((eTicket Deutschland since 2021.

Motics NFC
We’re doing away with barcodes: with the Motics NFC upgrade, the ticket validator recognises the ticket directly via Near Field Communication technology on the smartphone. No display or scanning required. This makes ticket validation up to 63 per cent faster. This is particularly beneficial during periods of high passenger numbers or at major events.
Furthermore, NFC does not require an internet connection and can therefore be used even in areas with limited mobile network coverage.
For manufacturers who have purchased an (((etiKIT from us, we offer short digital information sessions on Motics. In two to three hours, we provide an insight into the needs of the public transport sector, use cases, and the features and costs of Motics.
For transport operators and transport associations, we offer in-house training sessions on Motics.
Web2Wallet
With MoticsWeb2Wallet, transport operators and transport associations can offer secure mobile tickets even to occasional passengers. No app required – simply straight from the online shop. And if you’re interested in use cases: Motics Web2Wallet tickets have already been used successfully at the Munich Oktoberfest and the Cologne Carnival.

Motics Monitoring
The web-based Motics Monitoring provides insight into the certificate and attestation processes of the Motics Library. The dashboard simplifies root cause analysis and assists with debugging.
Transport operators are granted access to L2 and L3 data. Manufacturers can access L2 data, but require additional authorisation from the commissioning transport operator to do so.
