What to
expect In this role, you will play a central, key role with substantive responsibility for a standard of national significance, and you will actively shape the direction and long-term development of the standard.

• You will report directly to the management team.
• You will manage and oversee the specifications of the VDV core application (KA) and (((etiCORE.
• You will further develop the standard in terms of content and strategically shape its design.
• You will chair and lead the Standardisation Working Group (AG-S) as well as the change request process.
• You will participate in national and international standardisation bodies and ticketing organisations (including ISO, CEN, DIN and STA), where you will coordinate technical, economic and political interests.
• You will provide technical support to our test laboratory and oversee the development of test software.
• You will support seminars as a speaker
• You advise our external stakeholders (transport operators, manufacturers, consultants)
• You will liaise closely with our team, industry partners and other internal and external stakeholders.

What you bring to the role

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
• Ideally, a basic understanding of cryptography
• A keen interest in standardisation, e-ticketing and local public transport
• Analytical thinking and the ability to communicate complex issues in a way that is tailored to the audience and persuasive
• Experience in an international environment and strong intercultural skills
• Experience in dealing with political, regulatory or industrial policy frameworks, ideally in the context of standardisation, regulation or association work
• A high degree of willingness to take on responsibility, strategic thinking and diplomatic skills
• Willingness to undertake regular domestic and international travel
• Business-fluent language skills in German and English
• Knowledge of French would be an advantage
