Joint procurement of chip cards and system components
We organise the central tendering of system components and user media (chip cards) for the participants in (((eTicket Deutschland at regular intervals. Joint tenders are used to bundle demand volumes and achieve economies of scale and synergy effects. Participants in (((eTicket can currently order chip cards from IDENTA Ausweissysteme GmbH.
From 21 September 2024, they will be able to purchase the cards from three manufacturers instead of one:
- IDENTA Ausweissysteme GmbH
- SINC NOVATION Falkenstein GmbH
- TCS Cards & Systems GmbH
By 2028, our participants will be able to order up to 31.6 million chip cards from them. This diversification will ensure a reliable supply of the German public transport system.
Fair prices even for small order quantities
By tendering and ordering for all participants in (((eTicket Deutschland components, we achieve significantly better conditions than in individual tenders.
This is a particular advantage for small and medium-sized transport companies: they benefit from fair prices even for small quantities. In addition, the workload for the transport company is reduced.
Centralised procurement focuses on chip cards and security management components. However, bundling and joint tenders are also possible in other areas.
